The vast majority of work carried out by Orrmac Coatings requires grit blasting as surface preparation. The type of substrate to be treated determines the type of abrasive used.
Mild steel, cast iron & other ferrous materials are blasted with a top quality, angular, chilled iron abrasive.
Stainless steel, aluminium & other non-ferrous materials require blasting using non-metallic abrasives such as Aluminium oxide, garnet & other proprietary abrasives.
